Bears Banter: The BGO Podcast: Episode 20- Cameron Meredith Joins!

Former Chicago Bears WR Cameron Meredith joins the podcast just a couple of days after he becomes an official member of the New Orleans Saints.

It’s the latest edition of the BGO Podcast, Bears Banter, and we are joined by New Orleans Saints wide receiver Cameron Meredith. That’s one that sounds strange to say, “New Orleans Saints wide receiver.” Most Bears fans thought Meredith would indeed be returning to Chicago, but the Bears apparently didn’t trust his knee and didn’t match the Saints’ offer.

Cameron discusses his rehab, if he’ll be ready for the start of the season, takes us through his free agency process, talks about his days in Chicago, playing with Drew Brees and tells us the best pizza in Chicago! Check it out below!

There you have it. Some pretty honest answers from Meredith there. If you trust the Bears on this one and believe that it is 100% about the knee and nothing else, while Meredith does tell you the rehab is going well, he does remain vague about when he will be back. He says he hopes he’s ready for camp, but at the same time, he also says he doesn’t want to do anything stupid and rush back. Regardless of the reason, Meredith is no longer a Bear and we wish him all the luck in New Orleans (as long as he’s not playing Chicago).
