First Round Top Twelve Mock Draft: Bears Make a Move!
The Bills find their trade partner with the Chicago Bears. The Bills love Allen and have been in panic mode all night that they aren’t getting their QB, but the Bears make it happen. Buffalo, worried that Miami is going to be the team that trades with Chicago, sweetens the pot. In theory, the 65th overall pick should be enough to make this trade happen, but the Bills upgrade that to the 56th overall pick and Ryan Pace and the Bears jump at the trade and drops back to 12 overall.
Some will speculate that Allen fell due to the tweets that surfaced on the eve of the draft but honestly it’s only because this is how the draft fell. Allen is a project so AJ McCarron should be starting for a year, possibly two, but Buffalo will be confident that Allen’s magical arm talent will be enough to become the next great QB in the NFL.
