Many Chicago Bears fans anticipated that between Kyle Fuller and Prince Amukamara, one of the two would not return. Between money, on-field questions and the overall depth of the team, it seemed as though it would be tough for the Chicago Bears to meet the demands of both cornerbacks.

However, in an impressive offseason overall, the Chicago Bears were able to hold onto both cornerbacks, ensuring a deep room. How did this happen. Prince Amukamara gives credit to Mitchell Trubisky.

Yes, at this point what is Amukamara going to say. “They gave me more money than anyone else, why would I not accept.” Still it can be argued that Amukamara truly is being sincere in his words.

He was in that locker room. He knows what kind of person Mitchell Trubisky is. He also knows what kind of person it will take to win a Super Bowl, having been in a room with Eli Manning.

I am sure there were a variety of other factors going into this decision. Still, it is not like Amukamara was out doing the free agency tour. It is not like there was much interest around the league. There were no rumors of other teams close to finalizing with Amukamara.

Perhaps Amukamara did give the Bears as much time as they needed to get the deal done. Perhaps he does know that Trubisky is special, and was not interested in hearing other offers. Maybe Prince knows what Bears fans hope to learn this winter.
