The Chicago Bears did some fine-tuning to their roster with a few roster moves after OTA’s

From here until training camp, if the Chicago Bears are not in the news, it is usually a good thing. If they are in the news, the hope is that it is a minor situation, such as the one we are reporting on today. After the team finished their last OTA camp, the team made two small roster moves to help trim the fat as they head to training camp.

Edebali is a player in which we highlighted earlier. Edebali is actually an interesting signing as he has seen the NFL field, and once had a season with five sacks.

That season was with the New Orleans Saints, and was when Ryan Pace was an employee down south. The addition of an edge rusher after OTA’s is no surprise. To start, the team is not strong in this position.

On top of that, reports came out that Aaron Lynch has been hobbled with a hamstring injury. The team needs depth and Edebali brings that.

Josh Woods in an interesting case. He spent Rookie camp with the Bears but was not signed. Now, he gets to head to camp with the team.

Woods was a safety at Maryland but is listed as a linebacker by the Bears official account. You can easily understand that his role would be more of a coverage, hybrid type of linebacker.

The losses are minor as well. The release of Shaq Roland could likely speak to the health and status of the deeper wide receiver room. Allen Robinson is well ahead of schedule, Aaron Lynch took a step back. Release a receiver, add a pass rusher.

Holloway was a small school defensive back originally signed by the Falcons. This should be a good sign for a UDFA such as Michael Joseph, as his name is likely close to Holloway on the chopping block.
