62. Dejon Allen

Dejon Allen is an interesting prospect. He was a four-star recruit in California, but turned down some decent scholarship offers to play his college football at Hawaii. That, along with a lack of size at left tackle had Allen slip through the cracks as an undrafted talent.

However, talent is absolutely there, and he was rated by Bleacher Report as the UDFA most likely to make the Chicago Bears this season.

That is because of his versatility. As mentioned, he has mainly played left tackle. However, he has played at both guard and center and projects well for each position. A theme of this list has been Matt Nagy and Ryan Pace being attracted to versatility. Dejon Allen brings it.

The fact of the matter is that this is a talented player who is listed as a tackle, but can swing inside to guard if needed. At the time being, he is competing with Bradley Sowell for a back end of the roster spot. Sowell has a very similar profile, without the projections to center.

Sowell will obviously come in with the nod to start camp. However, Dejon Allen vs. Bradley Sowell could eventually turn into an under the radar camp battle as summer heats up.
