4. Adrian Amos
Last season at this point, Amos was staving off Eddie Jackson for starting time next to Quintin Demps. Funny how time changes things. Now, Amos is entering the season as one of the more valuable players on the roster and a key starter next to Eddie Jackson.
Amos is a great fit next to Jackson and the duo should be in for a big season. The arrow is pointing all the way up on Amos, how can he enter the season with pressure on him? At the moment, he does not have a contract in 2019.
As mentioned, it was just one season, things can change fast, you know the story. There is hope that the Chicago Bears and Adrian Amos can get together in training camp and agree on an extension.
However, if Amos is going to enter 2018 without a contract, he is playing for a lot. The difference between two strong seasons next to Eddie Jackson and a strong first year followed by a slump would likely cost him some real money.
What Amos is truly fighting for are years and guaranteed money. He wants to sign a longer deal with money tied into him for the majority of it. A strong season will get him that with ease.
