BOCA RATON, FL - DECEMBER 20: Anthony Miller

Anthony Miller looks to be as explosive as anyone in the NFL. That should excite Chicago Bears fans who have been starved of excitement for the last few seasons.

Antony Miller has been raved about during training camp by the media, and he’s beginning to show those flashes in the preseason.

Miller is quickly becoming a favorite among fans in Chicago, and his attitude is part of it. His outgoing personality is quite likable, but don’t get it twisted, he’s quick to talk trash to opponents on the field as well. His on field play also speaks for himself, he can go up and get the ball and make tremendous plays after the catch.

Anthony Miller can lineup anywhere on the football field. Both outside and in the slot. The slot is where Miller flourishes. His tremendous footwork helps him create separation at the line of scrimmage giving him an advantage against defenders. Simple routes such as drags and slants help him make a quick catch and an opportunity to make defenders miss and gain yards after the reception.

While Miller might only be 5’11”, that doesn’t mean he can’t go up and get the football on the outside. When thrown the deep ball, Anthony Miller can make plays just as well as anyone. He’s shown flashes in training camp of his ability to go up and get the deep ball. During Saturday’s preseason game against the Denver Broncos, Miller flashed his ability to high point the ball and go up and make a play. With defenders draped on him, he went up and made a tough catch while keeping his feet in bounds along the sideline.

Miller has always played with a chip on his shoulder. After being a walk on at the University of Memphis, he’s always risen to the occasion when his number was called. His feisty attitude and his elevated level of competitiveness is unlike any other that Chicago fans have seen in years. Anthony Miller is electric, and soon the rest of the NFL is going to see they made a mistake taking other receivers before him.
