The Chicago Bears handled the Buffalo Bills on the road as they should have. It was still an impressive win by the Bears

Coming into their road bout with the Buffalo Bills, there was still a lot that needed to be seen from this team. The Chicago Bears are a young bunch with an inexperienced quarterback and a less experienced head coach.

That showed in their first road loss to the Green Bay Packers, as the two failed to salt away a lead. Their next road trip was to a less formidable opponent in Arizona. The Bears dug a hole and took the entire game climbing out of it. They failed to close a lead against the Miami Dolphins in Miami and lost there as well.

Against the New York Jets, the Bears had a chance to close a team out and put them away for the first time. It was a growing moment, albeit against a weakened foe on the road.

This week, it was the Bears turn to go on the road and put a team away. With Nathan Peterman at quarterback, the game was set up for the Chicago Bears to put this team away early, and finish them throughout the second half.

Matt Nagy made it noted that his team needed to dial in this week. They did just that, leading from start to finish. The Bears put this game away before halftime.

While the Bills defense is tough and putting points up on them on the road is not easy, the offense did not commit turnovers and took what was given. This set the defense up to take advantage of the worst offense in the NFL.

Good teams win. Great teams handle weak teams on the road and put them away when the time calls for it. The Chicago Bears did that for the first time all season.

Now, off of two confidence building wins, Matt Nagy will have to build on this instilled sense. The competition will get tougher, but the recipe is going to be the same. Now that you have done against weaker competition, it is time to do it against every team consistently.
