Whether it be Chase Daniel or Mitch Trubisky, the Chicago Bears can find success against the New York Giants secondary

When looking at the Giants defense, they have been about an average bunch. However, when looking at where the Chicago Bears can attack, their cornerbacks have been one of the worst groups against wide receivers.

They rank fifth against tight ends in the passing game and seventh against running backs. However, they rank 22nd in success rate and 25th in yards per attempt to wide receivers. They rank 32nd and 29th in DVOA against number one wide receivers and slot receivers. They are getting exposed in the back end.

While Janoris Jenkins is the big name cornerback that many will name as a helper, he has been a major disappointment this season, and has followed those number one receivers who have consistently beat the Giants.

This season Janoris Jenkin is giving up 10.3 yards per target and a 101.7 passer rating. To put that into perspective, Kyle Fuller is allowing a 62 passer rating, and Prince Amukamara is allowing an 82.

Jenkins is getting torched on slant routes and out routes. If he ends up following Allen Robinson, that is where Robinson is best.

The Giants have had to slide B.W. Webb to the outside in recent weeks, and he has been the teams best cornerback, statistically. However, a lot of that has to do with teams comfort in their number ones matchup against Jenkins.

When Webb was in the slot, he was struggling mightily. However, Grant Haley, a UDFA rookie has stepped into that job, and it has not gone well. Haley is allowing a 100 passer rating on just 12 targets so far into his carer.

The team has an undersized, older cornerback who is not living up to expectations combined with a journey man backup cornerback and a UDFA slot cornerback. Even Chase Daniel is licking his chops at what his wide receivers can do in this matchup.
