4. Jimmie Ward

Jimmie Ward is a potential fit for a variety of reasons. The biggest being his versatility. Ward has played slot, outside and safety in his career. The Chicago Bears have potential needs at slot and safety heading into this offseason.

The fact that Ward could help in either area has to have them digging into his film right now. If they like what they see, they have to bring him in for a shot.

Ward is the same age as Callahan but has first round pedigree. However, he saw four head coaches in five NFL seasons with the 49ers. Multiple scheme and position changes saw him out of the loop quickly.

A fresh start with talent around him could help. He is going to come cheaper than Callahan but has more upside.
