2. Eddy Pineiro was perfect during the preseason for the Oakland Raiders

Obviously this is a very small sample size, but Pineiro was with the Raiders last preseason and he was perfect on all his kicks. He was 3 for 3 on field goals and 1 for 1 on extra points.

Pineiro did all that in week one, including hitting a 45 and 48 yarder, but mid-week prior to week 2, Pineiro hurt his groin and wasn’t able to kick the remainder of the preseason. Most fans and media of the Raiders felt that Pineiro would have had the job if it wasn’t for the injury.

When the Raiders knew he wouldn’t be ready for week one of the regular season, they stashed him on IR to see what 2019 would bring them. As it turns out, it brought them a seventh round pick.
