2. Tight End movement

Tight end is going to have to be a position to watch during training camp. The first noise surrounding the position came when the Bears announced that Bradley Sowell will move from tackle to tight end.

Sowell will take on the. “Y” tight end role which means he will get on the field, but will mainly be used as a sixth offensive lineman.

From there we learned that Trey Burton dealt with a hernia which is what sidelined him for the Bears playoff loss. Burton recovered during OTAs and did not work out with the team. This shined a light on just how bare the depth chart would look without him.

However, the last piece of news we heard was that Adam Shaheen has been excelling so far in workouts. The offseason is still young, and Bears fans have heard about the Shaheen hype enough to know not to be alarmed yet.

Still, it is great to hear that he is stepping up without Burton and the buzz now makes him a player to watch in camp.
