72. John Franklin, CB

Last Year: 80

Last year Franklin was one spot ahead Joseph, this year he remains one spot ahead. Both of them spent a year on the practice squad, and while both of them were retained from last season, they still both have a lot to prove to find themselves on the active roster.

Franklin is known as the quarterback from Last Chance U, but now he is attempting to make the team as a cornerback. He spent last year in the facilities and working with the team which is huge for his progression and shows in his standing.

Still, when the Bears lost Adrian Amos and Bryce Callahan, they did not just stop when adding Buster Skrine and HaHa Clinton-Dix. They  also. drafted Duke Shelley and Stephen Denmark. That is not the moves of a team happy with the development of their last class.

It is going to be an uphill battle for Franklin to pass those two, even with a year of experience.

Franklin did a great job of sticking around last season and has just as good of a chance of doing so this year. However, seeing him take a step onto the roster would be a surprise.
