GREENBAY, WI – OCTOBER 20: Quarterback Aaron Rodgers /

68. Matthieu Betts, Edge

Matthieu Betts has his own little following that may lead to him being the Tanner Gentry of 2019. Do not get it mistaken, Betts is an intriguing idea. Betts is a Canadian player who has excelled in the Canadian University football games. In fact, he was the number three overall pick for the Canadian Football League.

However, the team that drafted him knows that Betts is going to pursue the NFL first. Betts not only put up great college production, but he tested as a pretty strong athlete as well.

His athleticism against the competition he faced made some of his production easier than it should be, and he is going to take time to develop to the speed and strength that the NFL presents.

Still, there is enough upside here that he could certainly spend a year or two on the practice squad before truly getting a chance. The Bears need edge depth, and they are exhausting every area to find the help they need. This increases the chances that the team continues to invest in Betts, even if they know there is a limited chance he can produce next year.
