54. Johnathon Mincy, CB

Last year ranking: 70

Last year when we had Mincy rated 70th overall he was a CFL convert looking to catch onto an NFL roster. He did just that, spending all of 2018 on the Bears practice squad, and being invited back to camp for a second go.

Mincy is worth watching because he is an explosive player who can step into the slot. Most eyes are on Buster Skrine and Duke Shelley, the two were acquired this offseason. If the Bears were more confident in Mincy than them they would not have hit the position so hard.

However, if you recall Bryce Callahan took a huge leap from year one to two in the slot with the Bears. Behind Shelley would be Sherrick McManis.

McManis is a special teams stud, but is older than Mincy and more expensive. Could Mincy take a step and make McManis expendable? That is likely the upside to Mincy, who brings an outside shot of making the roster to the table.

However, for as much as he wants to push McManis, Clifton Duck, Michael Joseph and others will be pushing Mincy as well.
