Which direction has the stock of the Chicago Bears top wide receiver moved this offseason?
Entering the second offseason of Allen Robinson on the Chicago Bears things seemed to be trending up. Robinson and quarterback Mitch Trubisky took some time to get on the same page and were up and down throughout the season.
Of course, injuries from both had to contribute to that. However, the best play for both of them came in the fourth quarter of the teams first playoff game. The game resulted in a loss, but a key takeaway was that these two should be only better next season.
Robinson is healthy, he gets a full offseason, and he gets the relentless worker that is Trubisky. In most cases, the two should come back ready to put up better stats than a season before.
The only case for a stock down would be the Bears offseason moves. The identified and targeted running back, and added two, which signifies more rushing attempts as Matt Nagy is comfortable with his backs. Cordarelle Patterson will add rushing attempts as well.

On top of adding Patterson, the Bears also drafted Riley Ridley and signed Emanuel Hall and Marvin Hall to complete a deep depth chart.
Ridley has a similar size, and physical skill set to Robinson. This has brought speculation that Robinson will not be long for the roster, and that Ridley could be ready to be a longterm target for Trubisky.
However, too many people are forgetting that Allen Robinson is 25 years old. He is only three years older than Ridley. That is not some savvy drop off to a younger player.
Robinson is still in his prime, and Trubisky is still getting used to his weapon. Robinson remains a stock up.
