3. Can Mike Davis or Kerrith Whyte establish weekly roles?

The roles of Montgomery and Cohen will tell us everything we need to know, but the team did not add Whyte and Davis to keep them on the bench.

More from Bear Goggles On

When the Eagles keyed in on Cohen, plays were ran for Taquan Mizzell and Benny Cunningham. They want to be multiple and deep with their personnel, and the upgrade from Cunningham and Mizzell to Davis and Whyte has to be noted.

Davis got some goal-line work and was a pass catcher in Seattle. His versatility helps if Montgomery hits a rookie wall, but also if they want to get them on the field together.

Whyte is a player whose skill set is based on speed. He may add a lateral burst, as well as jet sweep ability. His ability to move into the slot can help Mitch Trubisky identify matchups, and the jet sweep can freeze linebackers.

How much will these two play? Do they have defined roles?

Will they be weekly contributors? We will see soon enough.
