3. Allen Robinson

The offense was awful on Thursday. Nobody is debating that. However, it is very clear that we have to asterisks Allen Robinson and admit that he does not have to be included with the rest of the offenses bad performance.

Robinson was dominant from the start to finish of this game. He looked like he had an extra step to his game this season after he recovered from an ACL injury last season. Last year, he was bouncing back from his injury, it was his first year with a quarterback, and even his quarterback got banged up.

Now, we are learning that it does not matter who the quarterback is. Allen Robinson is going to get his. Robinson was able to beat press coverage early into the game in the short, intermediate and deep portions of the game.

Robinson attacked footballs at the catch point, he made catches in contested situations, and he broke tackles with the football in his hands.

It is almost more of a reflection of just how poor the offense was to put up three points despite such a dominant performance from Robinson.

Robinson was a player that was poised to break out this year. Whether Trubisky joins him or not, expect him to continue to break out in similar ways all season.
