5 bold predictions for Chicago Bears week 3
4. Mitch Trubisky throws for 3 TDs
This one will probably raise more eyebrows than the last one. That is right, I am calling for the Trubisky bounce back. There is an easy argument against this. Trubisky has struggled to date and has never played well in prime time. What would make this week any different?
It helps that he gets a team in Washington that is limping in at 0-2. Their home field advantage is not nearly as valuable as it once was, and there may be a heavy Bears presence.
On top of that, their defense is susceptible. They currently rank 30th in sack rate. Carson Wentz and Dak Prescott both dropped bombs all over the secondary. Josh Norman has allowed two touchdowns and has struggled all year. Quinton Dunbar may be injured in this game.
With a weak pass, a questionable secondary and a ground game established, Trubisky needs to play well this week. The Bears have shown growth on offense and could take another step this week. Even if Allen Robinson drags him to it, he will put up stats this week.
