Week 1

Both the 2018 and 2019 season started with the Chicago Bears playing against the Green Bay Packers. The big difference is that the 2018 season started with the game at Lambeau Field and the 2019 season took place in Soldier Field.

Another big difference and this could be why fans are more worried this year, is that the offense put up 23 points last season. This year, the offense could only muster three. Yikes. That said, both games resulted in a loss. Yet, both games were also winnable.

More from Chicago Bears News

In 2018, the Bears put up 17 points in the first half and finished with only 23. They lost 24-23. This year, they only allowed 10 and lost 10-3. Either way, both games ended in a loss to the Packers and the Bears found themselves 0-1 to start the season. What makes it worse, they lost divisional games to their biggest rival.

Week 2

If we look at Week 2, the similarities are not directly the same. The only thing in common was that both the 2018 and 2019 games ended in a win for our beloved Bears and they found themselves with a 1-1 record going into Week 3.

For the sake of pointing out similarities and since both Week 2 and Week 3 (spoiler) both ended in wins, I am going to flip the script a little. If we look at Week 3 of the 2018 season compared to Week 2 of the 2019 season, here is where we find eerily similar results.

In 2018, the Chicago Bears faced off against the Arizona Cardinals. They won a close battle by battling back in the second half to win 16-14. Fast forward to Week 2 of 2019 and the Chicago Bears are facing off against their old Defensive Coordinator, Vic Fangio. They took the lead earlier in this one and had to fight back with a last-minute drive to win, but the score was also 16-14.
