Roquan Smith’s Snap Count

Ever since the mysterious no-show of inside linebacker Roquan Smith back in Week 4, a bit of concern has arisen among fans. That concern has heightened after last week’s game. Smith played only 54 of the 78 defensive snaps in Week 7. Although he still registered seven tackles, seeing the second-year linebacker play only 69 percent of the defensive plays is unusual—especially since Smith was the team’s leading tackler in 2018. The Georgia product’s play isn’t in question, so why the low snap count? Let’s see if the same pattern follows this week.
