Last week, the Bears made an adjustment along their offensive line, moving Cody Whitehair from left guard to center, and moving James Daniels from center to left guard. The switch didn’t seem to help Chicago’s offensive front. They surrendered five sacks, and had difficulty opening holes for their running game against a subpar running offense. To make matters worse, Whitehair had a few low snaps out of the shotgun formation.

Hopefully, those bad snaps are a thing of the past for Whitehair. But even if they are, he and Daniels will have their hands full with Aaron Donald in the interior. In last year’s game against the Bears, Donald didn’t record a sack. Maybe the same could happen again, considering that Whitehair and Daniels will be playing the same positions that they played last season when facing Donald.
