Mitchell Trubisky leads the Chicago Bears as they face off against Dak Prescott and the Dallas Cowboys on Thursday night football at Soldier Field.
The Chicago Bears look to continue their winning streak as they head back to Chicago to face off against a very struggling Dallas Cowboys team in a primetime showdown on Thursday Night Football.
The Bears come into this game on a 2-game winning streak and winning two games out of the last three, while the Cowboys lost to the Buffalo Bills on Thanksgiving to put them at 6-6.
This matchup will be all about the quarterbacks, Mitchell Trubisky and Dak Prescott and how they perform. Trubisky looked rough the first half of the season, but something has changed for him over the last month or so and looks different.
Trubisky is coming off his best game of the season against the Detriot Lions on Thanksgiving as he completed 29-38 passes for 338 yards and three passing touchdowns and one interception and had a 118 passer rating. You can say that Trubisky has been a lot more confident in the last couple of games than he has been all year.
But going up against the Cowboys defense, it’ll be a tough task for Trubisky and the Bears offense. The Cowboys come into Chicago 0-4 against the top 10 defenses in the NFL this year, and 0-5 against teams with winning records. The Bears defense is ranked no.5 heading into this week, so it’ll be quite the task for Prescott.
Even though Trubisky and the Bears have found success lately against the Lions and Giants, the Cowboys are a step higher than both those teams. They have a way better defense then both of those teams, so the Bears offensive line will have to protect Trubisky.
The bears certainly hope that Trubisky can lead them to a victory and hoping to keep their playoff hopes alive.
So if the Bears want to walk away with a win on Thursday, Trubisky needs to play like he has been and the defense will have to stop Amari Cooper and Ezekiel Elliot. Can Trubisky continue his outstanding performance like he has the last two weeks? We’ll see.
