The Chicago Bears decided to roll with Kevin Toliver over Prince Amukamara late in their loss to the Green Bay Packers

With the season coming to an end, eyes towards next year tell you that Prince Amukamara is firmly on the roster bubble. The Chicago Bears would save about $8 million letting him go next year, and while he has been good, he has not been as good in 2019 as he was in 2018.

After getting burnt by Kenny Golladay and David Blough on Thanksgiving, Amukamara was sat down with an injury. Amukamara likely knows what is at stake in the final couple of games and decided to step back into the starting lineup a week later against Green Bay.

He held up well for the most part, but a poor tackling effort in the third quarter led to a touchdown run by Aaron Jones which opened the game up.

From that point, Amukamara left the game and did not return. You can chalk up his injury, you can say the offense doesn’t deserve a defensive effort. You can argue in a late season 21-3 score game that Kevin Toliver gives them a look at the future.

dark. Next. What to watch in final 2 games

The fact of the matter is that Amukamara was benched because the Bears did not like his effort on this play. With two games to go, and looking at his contract status, it is officially a question whether we see Amukamara in a Bears uniform again.

It would be best for Amukamara to stay healty and sign with a new team next year, and the Bears can get two more long looks at Kevin Toliver. Do not be surprised if that was the end of Prince Amukamara in Chicago.,
