After adding a few key players this offseason, the Chicago Bears could still use some help on the team. Here are five veteran free agents still worth signing.

The Chicago Bears had quite an interesting offseason. In all honesty, they addressed every position of concern filling their roster completely in the draft, during free agency, and with trades. This doesn’t mean they are quite done yet.

Just as the Bears have a full 90-man roster, so do many other teams. Ryan Pace should be keeping an eye on not only the talent that could get cut but also the talent that is still available. Due to the COVID-19 situation, some players haven’t been signed solely because they can’t visit many teams and see their team doctors.

As stated above, they might not quite be done yet. They have some holes still to fill or at least bring some competition in. There really is no perfect position at the moment as they could upgrade almost anywhere except safety and outside linebackers.

After June 1st, Trey Burton will officially no longer be a Chicago Bears player. This frees up even more cap space on top of the roughly $9 million they already have according to Over The Cap. This gives them some leeway to add more depth to their roster and create competition. In addition to that cut going through, Allen Robinson could be extended and other players’ contracts could be restructured to free up even more space. All in all, the Bears shouldn’t be done adding players yet.
