Nick Foles is going to give the Bears the best chance to win in 2020

Let’s not kid ourselves here, neither one of these QBs put a real scare into anybody. We all know who both of them are, and most likely what they are going to bring to the team in 2020. However, as I stated earlier I feel that one of these guys has a little more to offer than the other.

At the very least, Nick Foles is someone who knows Coach Nagy’s offense. He is also someone who I believe can make all the throws, but similar to Trubisky needs to do it at a more consistent rate. Foles has shown throughout his career that he can be good in shorter stretches, but he has never played all 16 games in a season.

I think this is his biggest red flag more than anything. Whether it has been from injuries or poor performance he as always struggled to get through the season. For this reason, I do feel that the Bears will play Mitch at least a couple of games throughout the season, maybe even at the start.

All in all, neither one of these guys will be the long term answer for the Bears. The way their roster is set up right now is a very win-now type of mode. Even just decent QB play could possibly take this team places.

Once again I don’t think Foles is nothing more than a bridge quarterback, but I believe having a veteran QB on the roster helps the team out. He can read a defense, allows Nagy to open up the playbook more, and I think can bring some stability to a position that needs it.
