Nick Foles stinks

There are a few words that I wanted to use for this one before I landed on the word “stinks,” but unfortunately, they probably wouldn’t be appropriate words for this medium. The point that I’m trying to make is that since taking over the starting spot, Nick Foles has basically done nothing as a quarterback.

The problem doesn’t start with Foles though. Granted, his 3-3 record with 6 touchdowns and 6 interceptions isn’t ideal. But on most plays, he doesn’t even have enough time to complete his drop back. I’d like to say that Mitch Trubisky could come in and do better, but that really comes down to who can make a better pass off of their back foot with two defensive linemen in their face.

Nick Foles does not, in fact, stink. That being said, his average performances week-to-week are starting to show up on the final score tally. After being able to win ugly for three of his first four starts, that winning ugly has quickly turned into losing ugly, as the former Super Bowl MVP finds himself on a two-game skid.

Next. Ryan Pace and Matt Nagy must cut Javon Wims. dark

Whether it comes down to play-calling, a bad offensive line, or just bad quarterback play, the Bears offense will not be ready for anything close to the playoffs at this level. If they want any chance of contending for a Super Bowl, they’ll have to buckle down and figure out how to rejuvenate the offense.
