These teams need to lose for the Chicago Bears to make the playoffs

The Bears currently are one game out of the seventh playoff spot in the NFL. They are tied with the Vikings at 6-7. If the Bears beat them, that will be huge to give them the advantage as the Bears would be guaranteed to be above them if they win out.

The current seventh seed is the Arizona Cardinals. They sit at 7-6 with a tough schedule remaining. They have the Philadelphia Eagles who just beat the New Orleans Saints and they additionally face the division rivals Los Angeles Rams and San Francisco 49ers. If the Cardinals drop one of those games, the Bears get the playoff spot due to a tiebreaker.

There is virtually no chance the Bears get the sixth seed in the playoffs as the Buccaneers have an extremely easy remaining three games as they play the Falcons twice and the Lions once. It isn’t impossible, but highly unlikely, but the Bears do own the tiebreaker over the Buccaneers as they beat them earlier this season.

If the Bears get the seventh seed, they likely will see the Green Bay Packers in the first round. This would be a rough first game, but the Bears would be coming in red-hot and would be really hard to stop as they would potentially be on a four-game win streak.

This is still highly unlikely this can happen, but who wouldn’t enjoy the Bears putting things together and making the playoffs? Trubisky would have to play at an extremely high level and that would be promising to the team as they may want to bring him back after that.

The Bears basically control their own destiny. Can they rise up to the challenge, or will they fall short and rebuild next season?
