Montgomery played a great game for the Chicago Bears

Stud #3: David Montgomery

There is no doubt in my mind that David Montgomery was the player of the game for Chicago, and that is why I think he was the biggest stud of the game. Montgomery continues to dominate, going over 100 scrimmage yards for the fourth game in a row.

Monty was the workhorse back that Chicago thought he would be when they traded up to get him in last year’s draft. He had 32 carries, 146 yards, and 2 touchdowns. Minnesota couldn’t slow down the Bears rushing attack, as Montgomery averaged well over four yards a carry.

The offensive line has been playing so much better over this last stretch of games and Montgomery is finally able to show what he can do with a quality line in front of him.

Final Thoughts:

Overall I thought this was a good win for the Bears. The offensive as a whole played great, Mitch had another great game though he did have one awful interception. Allen Robinson was his usual consistent self as well. The defense looked good at times but in the second half couldn’t stop the Vikings as Justin Jefferson and Dalvin Cook were carving them up.

Next. Should Chicago bring back Mitch?. dark

This win fully puts the Bears right back into the playoff mix and their playoff hopes may come down to a Week 17 matchup against the Packers who may have nothing to play for. The Bears will still need some help but their playoff dreams are still alive.
