These Chicago Bears earn 2020 regular season awards
Mitch Trubisky earns the Chicago Bears Most Improved Player award
Honorable mentions: Cairo Santos, Bilal Nichols
The Trubisky story will always be an interesting one to look back on in Bears history. Trubisky’s time in Chicago has had its ups and downs, but his improvements this year and in recent games earns him this award.
Prior to the Packers rematch, Trubisky had over 1,000 all-purpose yards, with 11 touchdowns and four interceptions. Many people are even clamoring for the Bears to bring Trubisky back, as his improved play has seen a more confident quarterback. In fact, this previous game saw Trubisky join a certain group of Bears quarterbacks.
Of course, Trubisky is far from perfect, let alone great. It’s still safe to say that his recent games have shown signs of better quarterback play, and the offense looks better with him at the helm. Whether he’s a Chicago Bear or not is irrelevant: Trubisky has taken strides since his benching and is without a doubt an improved player.
