Mitch Trubisky is the most crucial player who must step up for the Chicago Bears

Mitchell Trubisky is a huge reason as to how we made the playoffs and that is quite evident. Nick Foles got the Bears onto a major losing streak and couldn’t get out of it even against the Minnesota Vikings in which he had his worst game. This opened the door for Trubisky who took the most of the opportunity.

Trubisky didn’t step up to the table against Green Bay, but nonetheless, he needs to step up this week. The New Orleans Saints have a solid all-around defense and the Bears haven’t beaten them in their last six meetings. Getting the offense going against the Saints stout defense will be vital in this game.

It doesn’t help either that the defense has regressed this season under Pagano. Trubisky at times has had to carry this team to victories which is crazy to think given his limitations. The Bears’ offense has been what has gotten the Bears out of their rut and their defense actually made things worse for them giving up more than 30 points to the Detroit Lions.

Regardless, Trubisky needs to step up. He needs to play like he’s playing for his job (he kind of is). In doing so, he can help the Bears win. He needs to show he will be hard to replace.
