The Chicago Bears are going to make changes. These players may not be here

While the Chicago Bears did make the playoffs, everyone knows that 8-8 and a loss in the playoffs is not going to cut it. With that said, there are going to change. Some for the better and some for the worse.

The Bears are going to face free-agent decisions, they are going to see cap casualties and they are going to have to make big changes. Who are five players that you are unlikely to see with the Chicago Bears next season?

5. Bobby Massie

Even when the Chicago Bears extended Bobby Massie after the 2018 season it felt a bit reactionary. Massie played well in the Bears breakout, no doubt, but the Bears were best served to let the aging veteran play out his deal and see if they could sign him in free agency.

Instead, they extended him with years on his contract. No one can predict injury, but a questionable signing is always going to look bad when Massie played in just 18/32 games in the past two seasons.

Massie will now be entering his age 32 season and his games played have trended down over the past two years. With Germain Ifedi stepping in, there was hardly a difference. Ifedi will be a free agent as well but will be cheaper than the injured Massie.

The Bears can save nearly $7 million letting Massie go, and you can bet on them exploring that option, and looking at younger and cheaper options for the future at right tackle.
