Quarterbacks the Chicago Bears should target

The Bears sounded like they are moving on from Mitchell Trubisky this offseason and rolling into 2021 with Nick Foles. Unless they target someone via trade or free agency, this is a dire need for the Bears. I expect them to target a high-upside player like Jameis Winston or a seasoned-veteran like Tyrod Taylor, but regardless, they need to draft a quarterback this year whether it is on Day 1 or Day 3.

Quarterback Rankings

  1. Trevor Lawrence, Clemson
  2. Zach Wilson, BYU
  3. Justin Fields, Ohio State
  4. Trey Lance, North Dakota State
  5. Mac Jones, Alabama
  6. Kyle Trask, Florida
  7. Jamie Newman, Georgia
  8. Kellen Mond, Texas A&M
  9. Feleipe Franks, Arkansas
  10. Ian Book, Notre Dame

Player to Highlight: Mac Jones, Alabama

After those top four quarterbacks, there is a major drop off in terms of talent. Mac Jones though may be safer than some of those top four quarterbacks. With elite accuracy down the field, Jones absolutely shredded nearly every defense he played against this past season. The Bears may have to take him 20th overall if they want him though as the Indianapolis Colts at 21st overall could take a shot at him and they need a quarterback as Philip Rivers retired.
