Chicago Bears officially can sign free agents as the new year starts: March 17

The Chicago Bears are not going to be very active in free agency this season as the team needs to focus on a few key areas, but do not have a large sum of money to make big moves. Look for the team to try and upgrade the quarterback through either free agency or a trade. If nothing happens during free agency, then hopefully the draft will provide a better quarterback option.

Outside of quarterback, the team will need to focus on finding value as opposed to going after the biggest names in free agency. The only way the team should spend bigger in free agency is if they cannot find a way to retain Allen Robinson. Then the team should look to sign one of these possible replacements.

Offensive line should be a priority too, but the offensive tackles hitting the open market are not likely to sign here for the amount of money Ryan Pace will pony up. No, the 2021 NFL Draft is where the team will need to focus on the offensive tackle spots while signing some of the under-radar guys similar to Germain Ifedi last season. Ifedi was not an upgrade but filled in nicely for Bobby Massie. Speaking of Massie, the team will need to decide on players to cut to save money.
