Chicago Bears trade rumors: What? Anthony Miller to the Chiefs?

This is a complete longshot, but could you imagine if the Chicago Bears traded Anthony Miller to the Kansas City Chiefs? It’s possible he would struggle similarly to how he struggles here in Chicago with this move, but as the fourth option in the Chiefs offense, it is worth the risk.

Having the Matt Nagy connection would probably stop this trade in its tracks as well since Nagy would likely tell long-time friend and mentor Andy Reid not to even consider bringing in the hotheaded, loudmouthed Anthony Miller.

Despite all of that, the move would not be an awful one for the Chiefs and would definitely be a great move for Anthony Miller. The Chiefs lost Sammy Watkins this offseason to free agency. They will now be counting on Mecole Hardman and Demarcus Robinson as the second and third wide receiver options (third and fourth if you count Travis Kelce).

Now add in the fact that Patrick Mahomes is not going to overthrow Miller despite Miller being off his mark and you have a recipe for success. If nothing else we can determine just how much of the issues here in Chicago were because of Mitch Trubisky versus the constant talk about Miller not being where he needed to be. Can a new team help Miller fix things mentally? Maybe.

Next. Potential Bears/Panthers draft trades. dark

If the Chiefs felt the need to add some talent behind their second and third receivers, the team has enough draft picks to make it happen. Right now, the team has eight picks in the 2021 NFL Draft. The team has two fourth-rounders and two fifth-rounders. I would bet that Ryan Pace would take any of those four picks to move on from Anthony Miller.

Where would you want Anthony Miller to go? Baltimore Ravens could be another option. I would not send him within the division unless the trade brings back a second-rounder or better.
