3. Caleb Johnson, LB, Houston Baptist

Caleb Johnson was the first player to sign an NFL deal out of Houston Baptist, a small-time program. Is Johnson a novelty signing or someone to pay attention to? He is someone to pay attention to.

Check out his Pro Day results below. He is thin at 226 pounds, but linebackers are getting smaller. The rest is legitimate, though.

The biggest thing to note is the 3-cone. He shows great change of direction ability and that is going to go a long way in the NFL. It can help in coverage, which is where Danny Trevathan has become a liability. Getting smaller at LB is okay if they get faster.

Beyond that, his traits play well for special teams. Christian Jones and Joel Iyiegbuniwe provide depth at the linebacker spot.
