C.J. Marable, RB, Coastal Carolina

The Chicago Bears may not have a huge need for a running back. However, Marable is a three-year starter with nearly 2,700 rushing yards aft Coastal Carolina, so he is going to get some praise. The issue with Marable is how small he is. He is under 5’10”, and under 200 pounds. You can see his size and athletic measurements below.

When you combine his athletic measurements with statistics at Coastal Carolina, the most comparable player that he could be is Ito Smith. Smith is a reliable depth backup who has started a few games in the NFL, but with his limited ability is not much more than that.

However, that is an NFL back. Also, the way for Marable to make the roster this season is as a kick returner. The Bears lost Cordarelle Patterson and it could be up for anyone to take the job.

The team drafted Khalil Herbert, who has experience as well, but Marable is right in play to compete for that job.
