2021 Chicago Bears Roster Rank No. 29: What impact can Tarik Cohen have?
We are now to number 29 in our Chicago Bears roster ranking. This list is looking at who are the most valuable players on the Chicago Bears roster in the 2021 season only.
No.29 Chicago Bears running back Tarik Cohen
Tarik Cohen has gone from 15 to 17 and back 15 in the three years prior. His drop to 29 is notable, and some fans may want it lower. He was disappointed in 2019, but the team went right back to him in 2020. Unfortunately, he did not have a good year before an ACL sidelined him.
On one hand, the signing of Damien Williams and the drafting of Khalil Herbert may mean Cohen gets even fewer snaps in 2021 than ever before. On the other, he is essentially locked into his own position now as a pseudo-slot-running back who can catch and do things with the ball in his hands. Perhaps taking him out of being a backup running back can utilize him more in space.
Still, more than any other year it is becoming clear that the offense is not going to have a big role carved out for Tarik Cohen.
