The Chicago Bears preseason kicked off against the Miami Dolphins

For the first time since Week 17 of the 2019 season, the Chicago Bears welcomed fans to Soldier Field. The Bears were around 50% capacity for the preseason game, but the atmosphere was electric. This was in large part to the first-round pick Justin Fields taking his first snaps in the navy blue and orange.

It seems fans came to watch the dual-threat star out of Ohio State. As soon as he took the field, the fans erupted in support. As soon as he left the field and Nick Foles took over, fans started to leave.

The Bears ended up beating the Miami Dolphins 20-13 highlighted by Justin Fields two touchdowns and 175 total yards (142 passing yards and 33 rushing yards). He struggled early on starting two of six but then rebounded to finish 14-20 posting an impressive 106.7 passer rating.

Bears fans got a first look at their future star quarterback and he impressed greatly. Fields displayed poise and looked incredibly calm while sitting in the pocket and surveying the field. He showed escapability as well getting out of the pocket multiple times and making throws on the run and running for extra yards as well.

In addition to seeing Fields, we got to see plenty of players that we either have never seen play an NFL game or have not seen play in a game since preseason of 2019. Because of this, we saw some players climb and tumble down depth charts.
