The Chicago Bears will face off against the Los Angeles Rams tonight in the first game of their 2021 season. We will finally see what this team can do now that the regular season is upon us. The Chicago Bears have not had much time to showcase their starting offensive line, but the preseason is behind them and they must find a way to gel or it won’t matter who is playing quarterback.

Most want to see rookie quarterback, Justin Fields under center, but instead, we get to see Andy Dalton. I have a good feeling that Rams fans are more excited about having Matthew Stafford than Bears fans are excited about Dalton. On paper, this should be an easy win for the Rams, but I think the Chicago Bears keep the game closer than most think.

Bears Injury Report vs Rams Week 1

We already know that Eddie Goldman (knee/ankle) is out for this game. Losing Goldman is a big blow to this defense. Now, the team will have to count on a seventh-round rookie draft pick to man the middle of the line. Let’s not forget though, that the team was without Goldman last year also. It’s possible that we will see Bilal Nichols play the nose with Akiem Hicks and Angelo Blackson at the defensive end spots. I’d expect a four-man rotation between these four.

The Chicago Bears have five players who are also questionable for tonight’s game. These five are most likely to play, but we will have to wait and see for sure if the injuries may cause a problem. Overall, the Bears had 14 players on their injury report this week, check out the full list here.

The Los Angele Rams on the otherhand only had five players on the injury report and three of them were only on it for rest. The Rams look to be without Ben Skowronek, a rookie wide receiver who was probably not going to play much anyway. Another advantage for the Rams.

Bears vs Rams Odds and Betting Pick Week 1

WynnBET’s Week 1 NFL odds have the Bears as +7.5 point underdogs on the road. The spread hasn’t moved all week, but the Moneyline has shifted a little as the Bears were originally at +275, but are now at +285 (bet $100 to win $285). The Rams moved the same amount as the Moneyline moved from -360 to -370 (bet $370 to win $100). Personally, I wouldn’t touch this game as I believe the Rams will win but to bet $370 dollars to win $100 is pretty bad odds.

The over/under also moved from an original total score of 44.0 points to 46.5. I’d guess that people believe the Rams will score more points on this defense now that Eddie Goldman is out.

We predict that Chicago will lose to the Rams 24-17, meaning the Rams will win, but not cover the spread. This also predicts that the under would hit and not the over. Read more details about the matchup here.
