The tale of two, very different 1-1 NFL teams. The Chicago Bears won last week with great defensive play. Shocking that this is the way the team won again, right? Week 1, Chicago was on the bad end of a blowout as they fell apart in the second half versus the Rams.
Cleveland on the other hand kept it close in their loss versus one of the best teams in the NFL — the Kansas City Chiefs. They won 31-21 over the Texans in Week 2.
There is a very big difference in this game for Chicago though. Rookie quarterback, Justin Fields is going to start his first game due to Andy Dalton going down last week with a bone bruise to his knee. Could Fields bring the necessary changes to finally improve this Bears offense??
Bears Injury Report vs Browns Week 3
Larry Borom and Teven Jenkins are still on short-term injured reserve. Jason Peters looked very good last week versus the Bengals though and as long as he can remain healthy, the left side of the line should be just fine even though Peters is 39 years old.
Something seems to be up with Eddie Goldman. He was a limited participant on Wednesday and Thursday, but then did not practice on Friday. He did not travel with the team and is OUT versus the Browns. If he is not going to play this season, he should do the Bears a favor and retire.
Tashaun Gipson is doubtful and most likely also OUT versus the Browns. This would put Deon Bush as the starter.
Other notables on the injury report for Chicago are Andy Dalton (OUT), Jeremiah Attaochu (questionable), Akiem Hicks (questionable), Darnell Mooney (questionable), Marquise Goodwin (questionable), Eddie Jackson (questionable) and Bilal Nichols (questionable). Dalton is obviously out, but the rest should play.
The Browns will be without Chris Hubbard (OT), Sione Takitaki (LB), and Jarvis Landry (WR). Baker Mayfield is dealing with a shoulder injury and is questionable. J.C. Tretter (C) and Jedrick Wills, Jr. (OT) are also questionable.
Bears vs Browns Odds, Spread, Over/Under, & Betting Pick Week 3
WynnBET’s Week 3 NFL odds have the Bears as big-time underdogs on the road versus the Browns. Andy Dalton is out with a bone bruise to his knee and Justin Fields will see his first start in the NFL. The lines did not change much since the beginning of the week. The spread stayed the same with the Bears at -7.5, while the Moneyline moved from +265 to +270 for Chicago.
Apparently knowing Justin Fields is the starter did not change things much. The over/under remained the same at 44.5 too.
I have the Bears not only covering the spread but finding a way to win this one with Justin Fields proving he is ready for the NFL. Bears 27 – Browns 23.
