Here we are, essentially halfway through the season and the Chicago Bears find themselves two games under .500. A three-game losing streak has the team somewhat spiraling out of control. This time, the offense played better versus the San Francisco 49ers, but it was not enough as the defense fell flat and let up back-to-back games of 30-plus points.

Now, the Chicago Bears will face a 4-3 Steelers team that just overcame their divisional rival, the Cleveland Browns. The Bears and the Steelers will face off on primetime on Monday, but just how bad will this game go for our beloved Bears?

Bears vs Steelers Odds Week 9

The Week 9 betting odds on WynnBET are disrespecting the Chicago Bears by making them +6.5 underdogs on the road. I might be falling into the same trap as I always do, and if Khalil Mack is out again, it will be an uphill climb, but the Steelers are beatable.

I’m not saying that I believe Chicago will win, nor do I think the Bears should be favored on the road, but I do find that the spread seems unfair. Either way, I am also not confident this team can overcome that spread either.

Chicago finds themselves second from last now with an average of only 15.4 points per game. It is easy to see why Chicago is the underdog with these stats:

WynnBET set the Bears Moneyline at +225 (Bet $100 to win $225) and the over/under at 40.0. Pittsburgh is not much better in the scoring category as they are ranked 26th in points scored per game, this is clearly why the over/under is set so low. If Khalil Mack and Eddie Jackson are both healthy, I’d consider the under. If both miss the game then I’d lean on the over.

Bears vs Steelers Prediction Week 9

I’m not even going to dive too deep into the underlying stats on this one. I had the 49ers winning last week and I will be going with the Steelers over Chicago this week. That will be a four-game losing streak that will likely push Matt Nagy out the door —  hopefully before the season ends. Only time will tell with what George McCaskey and Ted Phillips decide to do about Ryan Pace.

I’m basing my prediction now on the thought that Khalil Mack and Eddie Jackson miss this game.
