5 Chicago Bears who could breakout after bye week

3. DeAndre Houston-Carson

This could be a bold call because technically DHC has broken out in the first half of the season, No one saw him playing as much as he does, let alone being as versatile as he is, and also being a playmaker. Beyond that, he has kept a status on special teams.

Still, the prediction now is that the team knows he needs to stay on the field. Tashaun Gipson, Deon Bush, and Eddie Jackson have all been banged up at different times which allowed DHC to play more.

Now, it should not matter who is healthy. At the least, he should have passed up Bush, but he should be pressing for more of the starter’s snaps. Rotating Gipson in gets an older player a break, but when Gipson steps in they can still move DHC into his versatile third safety role. DHC played way more than anyone thought in the first half, and do not expect it to stop in the second.
