Predicting a Brian Flores era as the Chicago Bears head coach

Like most first-year coaches I would assume the Chicago Bears would find immediate success, between that weak schedule and Flores’ emphasis on winning. I would expect around 11 wins in year one. As a whole, I would predict that Flores is gone in three or four years though.

The ceiling for Flores in Chicago: Pete Carroll piggybacking off of Russell Wilson is a great comparison if Justin Fields hits his ceiling The floor for Flores in Chicago: Flores ends his tenure in Chicago after two years and Justin Fields is greatly affected by poor play calling and no real offensive structure.

Is this really a risk that we want to see the Chicago Bears take? Sure, the ceiling sounds great, but if you look around the league the Pete Carroll outcome is definitely more of an anomaly than it is a reality. More often than not, we will see an outcome that puts the team right back in the current situation within two to three years. I say no to this outcome and no to Brian Flores.
