Final Assessment on Brian Flores as the Chicago Bears next head coach

Brian Flores being hired as the next coach of the Chicago Bears is nothing more than a stunt to get the media off the Bears’ back for the time being after the Matt Nagy experiment went sour. As a Bears fan for as long as I can remember I have come to expect nothing less of this organization to choose a temporary solution over a permanent solution.

Flores to the Bears makes absolutely no sense for the long-term good of the Chicago Bears as their priorities should be set on making life easier with Justin Fields. And hiring Flores makes things even more difficult, by leaving Fields vulnerable to inconsistent play-calling and a possible play-calling carousel-like we saw in Miami.

Brian Flores is deserving of a head coaching job regardless even if all the reports that have surfaced are true, but it’s just not a good fit. Flores could still have success in the NFL as a head coach but the Bears could do much better. You would think that the Chicago Bears have learned their lesson about not settling for great defense and an offense that lacks behind, as that has been their recipe for as long as I can remember and it has not worked once.
