The Chicago Bears management dream team for 2022
The Chicago Bears would be bringing in plenty of great experience
Another key component of this Bears dream team is Eliot Wolf and Reggie McKenzie’s experience within multiple personnel departments. Wolf has 17 years of experience in NFL personnel departments. Reggie McKenzie has 27 years of experience in NFL personnel departments. Both of these football lifers also learned from one of the best handicappers of quarterbacks the NFL has ever seen. That is of course, Ron Wolf. Just imagine Eliot Wolf as the Bears GM drafting QBs then later trading them for valuable draft picks just like his Dad did for the Packers.
The potential for Eliot Wolf as a general manager is enormous. With McKenzie as the Bears president, he can ease Wolf into this weighty role so he can avoid rookie mistakes. The vast majority of first-time general managers typically make mistakes — often big ones as they learn their craft. The Chicago Bears should make every effort to mine for the possible general manager gold inside of Eliot Wolf. Reggie McKenzie, possibly along with Ron Wolf, can aid the Bears in striking that general manager gold.
To summarize all three of these candidates who could take over the most important roles in the Bears organization have been a part of Super Bowl winners. Here is the great value of this. Having inside knowledge and experience on Super Bowl teams imprints deep into their psyches a road map to creating a Super Bowl winner.
On top of these invaluable experiences, all three candidates have shown evidence that they have the most critical traits needed to create a Super Bowl winner. These traits are leadership, intelligence, and courage.
In fairness, Leftwich and McKenzie are clearly shown evidence of these all-important traits. As Eliot Wolf has not had a position that entails the buck stops here responsibilities, these traits are not so obvious with him.
However, at 35 years old, he did make the final two cuts of the shortlist to become the Packers general manager. On top of that, his father had these traits. Outside of interviewing him and people who worked with him, this is the evidence to justify my belief he has what it takes to be a great general manager.
