The Chicago Bears appear to be locked in on four finalists for the General Manager job. This is worth noting because they have been interviewing head coaches at the same time, but will ultimately leave the head coach choice up to the GM.

Still, you would have to imagine that the Bears have asked these candidates who they would prefer as head coach, and there are chances that the Bears are interviewing some of the finalists because they were also highly thought of by the GM candidates.

With that in mind, these four head coaches would be the least surprising hires at this point, considering their connections to the General Manager finalists.

4. Matt Eberflus

This one is obvious for a variety of reasons. To start, Matt Eberflus is the first head coach candidate to be given a second interview. There is obvious interest on the Chicago Bears side. Then, you see that one of the four finalists also is connected to Eberflus through Indianapolis.

Morocco Brown has been considered a top candidate in Chicago from the day Ryan Pace was fired. He has ties to the Bears organization, but more so is connected to Bill Polian. These connections give him a personal boost. He also has a personal relationship with Matt Eberflus.

The duo has spent years in Indy together, and the Colts have built their defense through the draft, meaning Eberflus and Brown talk often. If Brown is hired, you should assume that he will push for Matt Eberflus.
