These 6 Chicago Bears should be announced as season-long Captains

Chicago Bears Captain No. 4: Roquan Smith, MLB
With all the choices I could’ve made for who deserves the “C” on their chest most, Roquan Smith couldn’t have been an easier choice.
Year after year, Roquan Smith has been one of the league’s best linebackers, as well as one of the most disrespected. But, that’s for a different article.
Since being drafted in the first round of the 2018 NFL Draft, Roquan Smith has been an absolute beast, which would make sense considering his alma meter.
"2018: 95 solo tackles (T-8th), 18 assists (T-33rd), 1 interception (T-18th), 0 forced fumbles 2019: 76 solo tackles (30th), 21 assists (T-26th), 1 interceptions (T-14th), 0 forced fumbles 2020: 109 solo tackles (3rd), 25 assists (T-21st), 2 interceptions (T-4th), 1 forced fumble (T-17th) 2021: 111 solo tackles (T-6th), 45 assists (4th), 1 interception (T-18th), 0 forced fumbles"
Not only has he been a bright spot of the Chicago Bears defense, but he’s been a bright spot of the Chicago Bears as a whole.
While I could go on and on about how deserving Roquan Smith is of the “C” on his chest, I’ll stop here before this becomes me ogling over him. Roquan Smith absolutely deserves to be a defensive captain of the Chicago Bears — end of story.
