3. Chicago Bears Free Agent Target: D.J. Chark, WR – Jaguars

Projected Contract: 4 years/48 million

As previously stated, wide receiver has been a huge issue for the Bears but DJ Chark wouldn’t be an instant fix type situation. Due to Charks’ health problems and low sample size, I think there would have to be a complementary move in addition to the Chark signing if this were to happen to completely fix the wide receiver room.

Why would the Bears sign Chark? Well, Chark is a freak athlete that stands at 6’4, runs a 4.34 40 yard dash, and is only 25. Chark in 2019 hit the one thousand-yard receiving mark in just 14 starts and amassed 700 yards in 2020 in just 12 starts with a quarterback carousel of Gardner Minshew, Jake Luton, and Mike Glennon.

Chark would bring verticality to the Bears as he is one of the better deep threats in the NFL, as well as yards after catch potential. Very, very high reward signing if Chark pans out in Chicago.
