2. Chicago Bears Free Agent Target: Chris Godwin, WR – Buccaneers
Projected Contract: 5 years/90 million
Wide receiver was arguably the Bears biggest hole all season as absolutely everyone failed to get open and help out Justin Fields. Chris Godwin is a borderline top ten receiver when healthy and has been flourishing in Tampa Bay for quite some time now. Godwin also adds some of the most physical blocking in the game which fits Poles’ philosophy of becoming a physical football team.
Godwin will be recovering from an ACL tear and his recovery timeline is unknown for now so it is a possibility he could be out for all of 2022, but that is a risk we should be willing to take. It is also worthy to note that the ACL tear could also affect his contract.
